Business Function

Group Finance aims to deliver world-class standards in reporting, financial planning and finance processes. We provide insights and analyses that help the bank make sound business decisions \xe2\x80\x93 whether in the areas of product development or customer profitability. We also provide capital management, business planning, forecasting, and tax and accounting advisory services.

Responsibilities

The Business Control & Support function is a unit within Group Product Control (Group Finance) that is responsible for providing end-to-end (E2E) business support to Treasury & Markets (T&M) businesses across the region within the Bank.

The successful candidate will assist the team on the following areas:

Targeted reviews of significant new transactions (for Day 1 PL exceeding an internal established threshold) \xe2\x80\x93 where reviews will cover rationale for the transaction, pricing, market risk sensitivities & returns on capital usage.

Facilitate overall financial performance review, explaining drivers and working with functional teams in providing commentaries on Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss, Interest Income, Valuation and Accounting treatment.

Participate and provide business support for new products/business initiatives, working closely with project teams (consist of representatives from cross departments such as Front Office, Risk Management Group, Technology, Group Finance) in business case review, functionality assessment and requirement formulation.

Lead internal automation projects to drive reporting efficacy for the team.

Delivery of monthly desk summary on Structuring Desks which covers PL drivers for the month, balance sheet & interest income analysis.

Main point of contact with Front Office and facilitates end to end controls for Trading activities in Singapore & overseas entities.

Requirements

Degree in Accountancy or Business or Finance is preferred.

Minimum 6-8 years\' experience in Banking Finance or Product Control function.

Knowledge of treasury products, derivatives and options is preferred.

Experience in creative thinking, problem solving, strategy formulation as well as familiarity with data analytics and visualization tools will be advantageous.

Strong team player, with strong control awareness and inquisitive mindset.

Ability to relate processes with the business strategies and activities of the desk.
