Imperium Commodity Search is exclusively retained by a leading global trading & shipping firm to continue their expansion within the coal markets. The company operates across 3 main pillars: Maritime, with over 500 vessels owned or under management spanning nearly 3 decades of experience across 20+ offices. Resources, leaders in the Metallurgical & Carbons markets across Iron Ore, Met Coal, Thermal etc transporting millions of MT each year. Supported by Trading, Risk management & Trade finance facilities and the company\'s Asset Management divisions with a diverse portfolio.With an established presence across the major coal geographies spanning across China, Singapore, India and Indonesia we are seeking an experienced Met Coke trader in Singapore at AVP level to work directly with the Global Head of Carbons to manage PnL responsibilities and further develop the SEA, Far East markets for the group outside of their China & India sales.Duties & Responsibilities:

• Responsible for developing and implementing key trading strategies aligned with the Head of Carbons expansion objectives.
• Day to Day management of supplier and customer relations within the Met/Coking Coal markets for the region expanding into new geographies.
• Implement trading strategy for the groups non-China, India Business focusing on SEA, Far East, South Korea markets within the Met Coal sector.
• Continuous communication with senior management, traffic, operations and finance teams within the firm.
• Manage the trading program for the division understanding the strengths and weaknesses for the team to continuously develop the team further.
• Assist in covering the Head of Carbons division whilst travelling, attending conferences etc with the ability to head the team and manage PnL responsibilities.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5-8 years\' experience within the Thermal Coal industry with at least 2 years trading with PnL responsibilities
• Strong knowledge of the Thermal Coal industry and related markets across the SEA, Far East markets
• Experience dealing with INCOTERMS, contracts terms, transaction flow and bulk freight to ensure smooth transactions
• Experience in developing and expanding new markets with the ability to maintain lasting relations with suppliers and customers within the coal sector
• Fluent in English (Additional languages beneficial)
