Job Description


The Senior Analyst is a seasoned professional role. Applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge, contributing to the development of new techniques and the improvement of processes and work-flow for the area or function. Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area. Requires in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the function and overall business. Evaluates moderately complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact, where development of an approach/taking of an action involves weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting situations using multiple sources of information. Requires good analytical skills in order to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple sources. Strong communication and diplomacy skills are required. Regularly assumes informal/formal leadership role within teams. Involved in coaching and training of new recruits Significant impact in terms of project size, geography, etc. by influencing decisions through advice, counsel and/or facilitating services to others in area of specialization. Work and performance of all teams in the area are directly affected by the performance of the individual.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership and address high impact strategic issues within portfolio of businesses and assets. Work in close partnership with business heads and senior leadership to identify opportunities and control issues of importance, to formulate and drive change by partnering with business leadership with clear accountability, and provide clarity in complex problems, facilitate decision-making and resolve/ remediate issues.
  • Rewards Management: Monthly rewards tracking, forecasting, planning for products as an independent oversight party and working closely with the transformation, finance & product teams.
  • Sales incentives and performance monitoring surveillance and reporting.
  • Manage, coordinate and/or execute strategic/ regulatory projects and also manage the Continuity of Business-related activities for the Cards & Loans business.
  • Lead projects across their lifecycle: identifying and structuring the problem, analyzing root causes, developing solutions, communicating project results, and getting buy-in for change.
  • Identify opportunities for growth or optimization of businesses, including operational and controls management etc.
  • Perform deep dives on specific businesses to re-assess and opportunities.
  • Work with businesses in the execution of improvement strategies and controls actions, coordinating and taking active part in the implementation process.
  • Manage all aspects of client service, including planning, prioritizing and organizing projects.
  • Develop relationships with executives in business units, support functions and senior leadership.
  • Conduct in-depth research to support business strategies and identify trends across key business drivers.
  • Familiar with the MAS guidelines for the Unsecured lending business.
  • Develop presentations for senior management, synthesizing key findings of team analyses and recommendations.
  • Raise and present key findings to team leaders.
  • Exposure to Citi senior management.
  • Gain deep understanding of both global businesses around Citi.
  • Develop working relationships with a variety of Citi\xe2\x80\x99s departments and business units.
  • Exposure to a variety of topics in a fast-paced environment with challenging, multi-faceted assignments.
  • Performs other duties and functions as assigned.
  • Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
  • Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.
  • Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm\'s reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
  • 5-8 years experience
  • Solid understanding of strategic cards landscape and financials.
  • History of academic and professional excellence and achievement.
  • Maintains quantitative analytical skills.
  • Excellent problem solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of operational/financial modeling and ability to analyze financials is a plus
  • Strong project and stakeholder management to ensure all projects are planned and coordinated well for execution.
  • Ability to build presentations that convey a clear story supported by data findings.
  • High degree of flexibility and productivity; initiative and creativity.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team.
  • Highly motivated and self-driven, ability to multi-task productively, and result orientation.
Education:
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s/University degree or equivalent experience
