About the Department

Group Technology and Operations (GTO) provides software and system development, information technology support services and banking operations.

We have centralized and standardized the technology components into Singapore, creating a global footprint which can be utilized for supporting our regional subsidiaries and the branches around the world. We operate and support 19 countries with this architecture to provide a secure and flexible banking infrastructure.

Our Operations divisions provide transactional customer services for our businesses while also focusing on cost efficiency through process improvements, automation and straight through processing.

Job Responsibilities

Job Objectives

• Drive standardization across infrastructure, deployment and release management, best practice adoption, and consistency to implement and support a sustainable platform to rollout to regional countries
• Take accountability to deliver the scope on-time, within budget with high quality. Exercise judgment, take initiative and make decisions.
• Deliver solutions that meet and exceed the functional, non-functional/technical, infrastructure and security requirements
• Lead and collaborate with cross-functional and technical teams including business analysts, technical teams, testing teams and other Host technical teams to design and deliver solutions
• Mentor and train technical team members with the potential to grow into Technical Leads
• Work effectively with tech and delivery and Security Teams to ensure efficiency of the solutions implemented to support the business
• Setup, manage, maintain and troubleshoot our existing deployment and infrastructure.
• Be part of a team to help achieve in ensuring the high levels of system/application availability and performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Setup, manage, maintain and troubleshoot our existing deployment and infrastructure and be a part of the release management team.
• Drive technical innovation to enhance functional and technical capabilities of the platform
• Build frameworks for configuration instead of code for each component
• Communicate with technical and non-technical resources and work with limited direction while being highly productive
• Apply standards and industry frameworks while leverage existing technologies and tools in the Bank
• Adopt devops, CI/CD and related technologies and frameworks.
• Document in details.
• Manage, address and resolve project-related technical issues in a timely fashion, ensuring necessary escalation and communication to stakeholders as necessary
• Select, train, develop and manage technical team members in a conducive team environment
• Guide the project team in issue resolution to meet the requirements and timelines

Job Requirements

• Degree with 10+ years of current, hands on technical experience
• Committed and self-drive
• 4-6 years experience in release management, devops, and good understanding of deployment processes
• Experience in installing, configure and troubleshoot Weblogic, iPlanet, Websphere based environments
• Experience with automation, Continuous Integration
• Experience with Deployment process and tools, eg Jenkins, Aldon, etc
• Good scripting skills
• Good networking knowledge
• Exposure to administration and performance testing tools is a big plus

Nice to have:

• Banking background preferred but not a requirement.
• Go getter attitude with strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Understanding of:
• AIX O/S and/or RedHat platform and scripting skills
• Java and internet-related components (i.e: JSON, XML)
• iPlanet, Websphere, Weblogic, Database, Sql
• DevOps suite of products (i.e: Jenkins, GitHub, Sonar, Aldon, etc)
• Connect Direct, SFTP
• Perf tuning and automation in general
• Exposure to, and experience with microservices desirable.
• Strong oral communication and writing skills
• Passionate and results orientated
