The merger of Aviva Singapore and Singlife was announced in September 2020 and created one of the largest homegrown financial services companies in Singapore in a deal valued at S$3.2 billion. It was the largest insurance deal in Singapore at the time. Singlife was subsequently acquired by Sumitomo Life in March 2024, one of Japan's leading life insurers, which valued Singlife at S$4.6 billion, making the transaction one of the largest insurance deals in Southeast Asia.

Responsibilities

Act as expert in the plan, design, and delivery of end-to-end solution architecture/design. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, cloud/infra, and business stakeholders, to drive solutions. Drive and contribute to the digital transformation initiatives, ensuring that the architecture aligns with the enterprise standard and agility. Drive short- & long-term architecture strategy for the overall IT project portfolio for key business segments. Operate in a fast-paced, evolving environment and appropriately prioritize tasks, and keep abreast of the latest technology. Create and maintain comprehensive solution documentation, including architecture diagrams, design specifications, and technical documentation. Identify and mitigate technical risks, ensuring the overall stability and security of the systems. Recommend options to reduce costs, increase efficiency in IT and business leadership. Provide knowledge share training

Requirements

Minimum 10+ years of experience in IT with at least 3 years in solution architecture role Should have minimum 3 years of solution architecture experience delivering enterprise grade software solutions in cloud platform (AWS (must)). Possess a deep understanding of the insurance domain with expertise preferred in life/health, advisory distribution business. Hands-on experience in AWS cloud architecture and full-stack development. Hands-on experience in delivering holistic enterprise-grade solutions for areas like digital/cloud transformation Knowledge of emerging technologies/platforms like GenAI with a strong self-initiative to keep up with evolving technological trends High level of comfort communicating effectively across internal and external organizations

Capability

Strong ability to quickly understand complex application landscapes and business processes. Solid grounding in application development, support, debugging, and troubleshooting. Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and facilitation skills. * Proven ability to work collaboratively across teams to deliver high-quality technical solutions.
