Division Description
Group Legal and Compliance (GLC) supports the Bank in all legal, regulatory and compliance matters. The division ensures that the Bank\'s businesses comply with policies, procedures and relevant laws, rules and regulations issued by Monetary Authority of Singapore and other local regulators.
Apart from being a legal advisor on litigation, trademark filings and other legality issues where relevant, GLC plays an important role as undertakers of the bank-wide regulatory compliance and anti-money laundering initiatives. This includes developing policies and procedures to manage and mitigate risks relating to money laundering and financing of terrorism, as well as monitoring, detection and combating of money laundering and financial crime activities.
Role Summary
This is role is part of the Anti-Fraud Risk & Control - Card under Group Financial Crime Compliance - Anti-Fraud. The successful candidate is primarily to conduct investigation for card related fraud cases and implementing card fraud rule strategy.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Investigate and provide resolutions to card related fraud cases (acquiring and Issuing side).
  • Help to develop and deploy counter-fraud measures and ensure deployment is executed in alignment to team business/policy/operating requirements.
  • Support card fraud related operational tasks and help to delivery of fraud operations initiatives, while building and developing relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Monitor any changes in the fraud KPI thresholds or other fraud indicators, recommend actions and implement these actions.
  • Review, define and implement Fraud Risk rules or processes.
  • Generate reports and insights regarding fraud.
  • Assist in the development of ad-hoc analysis, reports, presentation for management.
  • Provide support for periodical reviews and audits.
  • Support User Acceptance Testing
  • Perform any other duties that may be assigned by the Head of Anti-Fraud Risk & Control - Cards.
Qualifications
The ideal Candidate will meet the following requirements:
  • At least 3 years of experience working in payments risk
  • Strong knowledge of how fraud rules, Card scheme rules and ability to provide detailed requirements to internal and external stakeholders
  • Understanding of Card Schemes rules/regulations and internal procedures that affect risk, fraud, and dispute processing
  • Knowledge on the fraud modules like Instinct, Visa Risk Manager and MasterCard Decision intelligence will be an advantage
  • Has strong analytical skill and well verse in Microsoft office
  • Able to work in an independently way, while at the same time being strong collaborator, connecting with colleagues and sharing ideas to improve effective teamwork
  • Analytical skills to identify and assess potential fraud and compliance issues and ability to escalation when appropriate
  • Willingness to learn and embraces challenges and changes.
