Roles & Responsibilities:
Working with the Groups geographical markets and/or business unit teams to evaluate inorganic growth opportunities and actively support in the project execution process to completion including coordinating the due diligence process, risk analyses/mitigation measures, deal structuring, documentation, negotiations and execution of green-field or brown-field transactions
Drive and/or support the execution of group strategic acquisitions and divestments, including leading and managing cross-functional and cross-border deal teams
Develop financing plan for greenfield investments, source for, negotiate and secure project financing facilities and manage relationships with commercial lenders and other financial partners, including multilaterals and ECAs.
Prepare and present investment proposals for senior management, Exco and/or Board approvals.
Undertake corporate functional reviews of new investment projects, identify and form independent views of key assumptions, valuation and risk drivers and stress-test financial models to assess the impact of various scenarios on valuation and returns
Supervise the work (including financing modelling analyses) of, as well as develop and mentor the junior members of the team to continuously improve M&A and deal structuring capabilities.
Qualification and Experience:
At least 10 years experience, with at least 5 years in leading the execution of M&A/project financing deals including managing the due diligence process, addressing deal and/or project financing issues, preparation and review of transactional documentation including letters of interest, definitive agreements and project financing agreements.
Strong understanding of corporate finance and valuation techniques, financial statement analyses, M&A and investment risk assessment and structuring deals
Analytical, highly numerate, hands-on and rigorous, with strong problem solving, presentation and project management skills
Successfully close projects /investments regionally and of value exceeding S$500m.
Experience in renewables and utilities sectors preferred.
Good interpersonal and communication skills, strong accountability and able to lead and motivate teams to drive successful outcomes
