Group Technology and Operations (T&O) enables and empowers the bank with an efficient, nimble and resilient infrastructure through a strategic focus on productivity, quality & control, technology, people capability and innovation. In Group T&O, we managethe majority ofthe Bank\'s operational processes and inspire to delight our business partners through our multiple banking delivery channels.

Job Purpose

The selected candidate is responsible for providing specialist hands-on support to Program/Project Managers and program/project teams in the tracking, formulating, reportingof program/project progress, as well as involvement in other core PMO activities (e.g. consultancy, management reporting, tools administration).

Responsibilities

  • Active engagement with program/project teams.
  • Consolidate, monitoring of program/project progress across schedule, cost, quality and benefit realization.
  • Manage access and configuration of project collaboration tools (e.g. MS Sharepoint, JIRA).
  • Support other Programme Office functions where required.
  • Formulate the program/project team engagement strategy.
  • Coordinate program/project team engagement and communication, ensuring effective timing and interdependency management of communications.
  • Participate in Business Case development and review activities.
  • Provide a centre of expertise for program/project processes, standards, procedures and tools.
  • Design and support governance/reporting for projects as well as creating control towers and/or dashboards.
  • Track program/project metrics to monitor and control performance.
  • Carry out health checks on program/project at any time during the lifecycle, when requested by the program/project manager or other stakeholders.
  • Provide regular reports to management, including a commentary on performance, coordinating upward aggregation of data/information and reports.
  • Maintain the reporting calendar with reminders to inform contributors.
  • Create and operate the information asset storage to keep reference materials up to date.
  • Ensure processes are in place to handle the confidentiality, integrity and access of information assets.
  • Provide support to other Program Office functions where required such as:
  • Consolidate and update Program plan, roadmap, schedule, issues, risks and financials.
  • Facilitate regular program update meetings.
  • Record and report program status and achievements.
  • Document minutes of meeting.
Requirements
  • Have a degree or diploma, preferably in engineering or IT.
  • At least 5 years of relevant working experience in a large program/project environment.
  • Proven PMO/Project Manager experience and knowledge of program/project management.
  • Have experience setting up or maintaining Program/Project Governance Structure.
  • Understanding of the principles and frameworks of successful project management.
  • Proven experience in providing service to internal stakeholders to achieve successful project outcomes.
  • Experience organizing and facilitating meetings that involve mid-level/senior management.
  • Have good analytical, problem solving and communication skills.
  • Be a self-starter and independent worker with strong work ethics and commitment to meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to quickly build rapport with stakeholders, seniors, peers, juniors and vendors.
  • Learn quickly, be adaptable, flexible and be able to thrive in a fast-paced and ever-changing context of a growing organisation.
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint essential).
  • Have experience administering and configuring tools for collaboration is an added advantage (MS Sharepoint & JIRA).
  • Experience with Agile software development is an added advantage.
