Job Description


A multinational developer-owner-operator of real estate products and services is in search of an AVP Risk Management to join their team on a full-time basis in Singapore. Headquartered in Singapore, this company is listed in the Singapore stock-exchange and operates across five core asset classes including residential, retail, commercial & business parks, industrial & logistics and hospitality.

As an Assistant Vice President in Risk Management, you will be driving business resilience across the group by assessing and managing risk and incorporating sustainability into our business practices.

As the lead for Risk Management for the group, the successful candidate will be responsible for the implementation and roll out of Enterprise Risk Management Framework for the Group.

Other key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Proactively drive risk management implementation across the group, actively engaging and getting buy-ins from Cluster Heads.
  • Oversee and drive the Business Continuity Management programme of the Group.
  • In charge of the overall implementation of an effective and efficient risk management programme, facilitate meaningful reporting from line management to the Group.
  • Assist in conducting risk workshop and risk refresher course; implement programme and trainings to raise the overall risk conscious culture for the Group.
  • Keep up to date the latest risk management issues and emerging trends and able to identify relevant risks that may impact the Group business.
  • Be versatile and bring in risk management experience to enhance the overall risk management process and framework.
  • Understand, interpret and map risk appetite/ risk tolerance, conduct some financial analysis, and develop key risk indicators.
  • Provide Quarterly Reporting and Analysis on Enterprise Risk Management to the Risk Management Committee at BU and FPL Group Levels, including Annual Risk Validations, Risk Comfort Matrices
  • Interface with Group Risk Management Team on quarterly calls and involvement in projects eg Tricor Risk Management System, Risk Management/BCP Group-wide Tabletops, Training
By incorporating sustainability into business practice, the successful applicant will reduce the organisations environmental impact and achieve net-zero carbon through partnerships - with our tenants, customers, vendors and other partners.

Other key responsibilities within sustainability will include:
  • Develop sustainability priorities, policies and strategies and set goals / KPIs in consultation with management and stakeholders
  • Research and benchmark latest ESG/ sustainability trends and recommended integration into corporate objectives and business operations.
  • Driving integration of sustainability best practices into business operations
  • Coordinating sustainability outreach and partnership programmes with internal and external stakeholders
  • Keep abreast with and provide internal updates on trends, developments and changing expectations on various priority issues in the area of sustainability and their impact on our policies and strategies.
  • Prepare annual sustainability report in accordance with the GRI Standards / TCFD / IIRC
  • Tracking and compiling the Group\'s ESG performance data
  • Carrying out ESG data analysis and making recommendations for further improvement of performance
  • Coordinating and facilitating external assurance process on sustainability
  • Educating employees across organizational levels and geographies through training and knowledge sharing
  • Contributing to submissions for external benchmarks such as GRESB, CDP, FTSE4Good
  • Researching on global and local sustainability practices and trends, as well as peers\' performance
  • Supporting both internal and external sustainability communications within the Group
  • Establishing and enhancing relevant group policies on sustainability
  • Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of sustainability programs, and when needed, recommending changes to close strategic gaps.
  • Tracking sustainability strategies\' financial efficiency
To be successful in this position, you must have strong relevant corporate Risk Management experience with a familiarity to international sustainability frameworks including GRI, GRESB, TCFD, CDP, SASB

Other key requirements include:
  • Degree in real estate, environmental studies, Business Management, Sustainability or other related field.
  • Demonstrate the ability to think conceptually while at the same time be attentive to detail.
  • Strong Communication - An ability to influence, engage, negotiate and communicate with internal stakeholders.
  • Industry experience and understanding of the marketplace, emerging technologies, and commercial dynamics.
  • Experience fostering and managing partnerships with private sector partners, NGOs, governments, and multilateral organizations.
  • Proven experience designing meaningful goals and KPIs against which to measure sustainability performance.
  • A good team player with a positive attitude, self-driven and resilient
