Technology Group
We experiment, design, and lead a 24\xc3\x977 global business where we support core capabilities in asset management, trading, investment operations, and risk management. We deliver secure, reliable, and integrated solutions, and provide insights on new, and emerging technologies.

Cyber Security, Information & Technology Risk Management
You will be a part of an independent risk management function to protect the firm\'s information technology assets, including business data, from external threats and operational risks, and to facilitate the firm\'s digitalisation journey in a secure manner.

What will you do as an AVP, Cyber Security Defence Analyst (Network)?

• Monitor and investigate events generated from GIC\'s network security platforms related to possible attacks, intrusions, anomalous or misuse activities
• Analyze relevant system, network logs or other artifacts to correlate such activities
• Manage network security controls and other related systems including configuration of policies to protect GIC
• Prepare investigation reports as required
• Respond to escalations from security operations, audit, or compliance teams
• Follow the established security incident response practice to respond, contain and mitigate cloud or other related cybersecurity events
• Support the digital forensics investigation team when required
• Participate in threat hunting, purple teaming, and other related exercises
• Continually review and enhance detection against relevant network cybersecurity threats
• Lead and manage key network security initiatives. Partner with cybersecurity and technology teams to innovate and reduce risk across the enterprise
• Establish a culture of collaboration and excellence within security operations and other relevant GIC investigation teams
• Keep up to date with industry trends and breaking news that may be relevant to the role or function

What qualifications or skills should you possess in this role?

• Bachelor\'s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering or equivalent
• At least 3-5 years of relevant experience preferably in financial services or asset management industries, with a minimum of 3 years of working experience in a cybersecurity function
• Professional qualification such as SANS, CISSP / CEH will be advantageous
• Network security or IT certifications would also be advantageous
• Knowledge of network concepts, network protocols, and network security methodologies
• Knowledge of network technologies in one or more areas such as perimeter firewalls, demilitarized network zones (DMZ), encryption, encoding, network virtualization or wireless networks
• Knowledge of enterprise IT networks
• Knowledge of cybersecurity threats and vulnerabilities at the network layer
• Knowledge with network traffic analysis methods such as packet analysis and analysing network flow data
• Knowledge with network detection and response (NDR) or similar capabilities
• Experience in incident response and network forensics is an advantage
• Demonstrates good investigative technique and practices
• Desire to work in a diverse environment interacting with various teams and functions to support strategic goals
• Demonstrates a problem-solving mindset with intellectual curiosity, critical thinking, and proactive solutions
• Strong written and verbal communications with the ability to present findings to a broad audience
• Self-initiated, meticulous, versatile, analytical, and inquisitive
• Be a good team player and excellent communications
