Data Management
You will actively manage GIC\'s data through technology-enabled activities such as data sourcing, maintenance, and remediation. Our stewardship ensures data remains trustworthy, and of high quality.

What will you do as an AVP/ VP, Data Analyst?

• Manage and oversee end to end data operations activities on DSG\'s Data Warehouse. This includes monitor, analyse, investigate, and resolve day-to-day operational incidents and advisory to users
• Ensure the integrity and quality of data in Data Warehouse
• Design and implement quality metrics and monitor quality of data in Data Warehouse
• Identify and improve data operations process through analysing systems operations data (SLAs, customer satisfaction, delivery quality, team efficiency etc.) for continuous improvements
• Incorporate data management best practices into operational workflow
• Manage and maintain strong relationship with data providers (internal and external) to ensure continuous support and knowledge for existing and future data needs
• Provide coaching and guidance to juniors
• Actively participate in new data initiatives and projects
• Evaluate business requests for new data and design, test and implement data solutions
• Work closely with business, data engineers and relevant stakeholders to implement and support data solutions using best-of-breed technology and methodology
• Contribute, influence, and review the design of data solutions to ensure it meets both business and operational needs. Demonstrate technical expertise in the assigned area.

What qualifications or skills should you possess in this role?

• Degree from recognized tertiary institution with at least 5 years of working experience, where at least 2 years of hands-on experience in data management or data analytics within investment and banking industry
• Good understanding of the principles, key controls and processes relating to data management
• Good understanding on data modelling, data integration
• Agile and fast learner and able to adapt to change
• Meticulous and work well with detail
• A good team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Experienced with the Systems Development Life Cycle implementation methodology (SDLC) and/or agile methodologies like Scrum and Kanban
• Familiarity with data warehouse, data models, data management tools and data extraction (such as SQL, Python) and data visualisation tools such as Tableau is preferred
• Experience working with enterprise databases using database technologies (MS SQL, Snowflake, and PostgreSQL) and data integration products (e.g. Informatica) is advantageous
