We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as an AVP, Wealth and Private Banking Operations.

Principal Responsibilities

  • To take charge of end-to-end wealth investment processes covering various products ie. Unit Trust, Dual Currency Deposit, Structured Deposit, Local & International Bonds, IPO Bonds , Equity Link Notes, Structured Notes, Equities
  • Ensure productivity is within the AOP set including overall operational efficiency within set targets
  • Maximization of process efficiency and effectiveness in the team through simplification
  • Initiate continuous improvements across all key areas of operations management, people, processes and systems
  • Ensure that daily activities pertaining to the operations of the customer accounts and GL/Suspense accounts are dealt with effectively and in a timely manner
  • Build, maintain then enhance the operations culture/operational excellence of the department
  • Service level agreements are consistently met and customer service delivery is of high standard continuously
  • To deliver high standard of customer service delivery and ensure that feedbacks, complaints and enquiries from internal customers are promptly handled
  • To improve processes based on customer\xe2\x80\x99s feedback
  • Lead, execute, support and roll out all related projects and system enhancements within stipulated timelines
  • Robust Controls and compliances are in place
  • Accuracy in management reporting
  • Good team collaborations and engagement
  • Ensure compliance with regulations, policies, guidelines, audit recommendations and procedures/procedural guidelines are adhered to
  • Conducting periodic and surprise audit checks, directing staff on rectification and corrective action and monitoring of audit compliance
  • To implement the Group Compliance policy locally by managing compliance risk in liaison with the Area Compliance Officer or Local Compliance Officer, ensuring adequate compliance resources are in place and training is provided, fostering a compliance culture
  • Manage operational risk associated with the role and take action to minimize the likelihood of operational risk occurring, including risk identification, assessment, mitigation and control, loss identification and reporting
  • Maintains HSBC internal control standards, including the timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators
  • Ensure Desk Instruction Manuals are promptly reviewed and updated
Requirements
  • Have supervisory experience with good knowledge in the end to end processing of Unit Trusts, structured Deposits, Dual Currency Deposits, Structured products, Bonds and Equities
  • A minimum degree in Business/Finance with 3 to 5 years combined experience in Wealth and Private Banking operations
  • Able to work independently and manage projects related to Wealth and Private Banking operations
  • Proven ability to multi-task in a fast paced work environment and work under pressure with demanding timescales
  • Highly motivated with proven ability to work collaboratively within teams and to deliver on time
  • Strong analytical mind and conceptual skills
  • Cognizant on MAS & SFA related regulations is preferred
  • Good management planning ability with excellent eye for detail
  • An effective team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, adaptability and professionalism
  • Proficient in MS Office
