Imperium Commodity Search is continuing its longstanding relationship with a global institutional grade commodity brokerage and financial institution as they continue their growth across the APAC/European markets in soft commodities and agriculture. To support the existing team, an opportunity has arisen for a junior/associate commodity and agricultural broker (derivatives, futures, options, swaps, OTC, Listed) to cover the ICE/London market hours for the agricultural products brokerage team. Offering best in class execution services to institutional and corporate clients with a trading interest in the ICE Agri markets, you will be the face of the business to clients trading on London hours. A customer-centric approach is key for our client; building a reputation as a multi-faceted and superbly connected brokerage house with tens of thousands of clients globally.
NOTE: This position is based in Singapore but covering London/ICE Hours (16:00-02:00 local time)
Responsibilities:

• Manage sales and execution of agricultural and soft commodity derivatives during London market hours across both listed and OTC on soft commodity and agricultural business
• Actively develop relationships with both corporate and institutional clients with a trading interest in the soft commodity and agricultural space (wheat, rice, soybean, corn, oilseeds, edible oils, cocoa, coffee, sugar, cotton etc.)
• Offer best-in-class customer service and risk management/hedging expertise to a wealth of commodity clients across the agri sector
• Keep up to date with trading flows, market movements, supply and demand and geopolitical events affecting commodity pricing in the soft commodity and agricultural markets across APAC, AUS and Europe
• Monitor daily exposures and limits to ensure compliance and ensure back office/administrative functions are completed in a timely and compliant fashion
• Build relationships with stakeholders across the commodity space to offer up to date market analysis and insight to clients to ensure best practice execution and solid advisory services
• Demonstrate the firms hedging and risk management capability to corporate clients and trading houses in the agri/agro commodity space
• Educate new clients on risk management practices and match this to the firms offering in hedging specialisations
• Attend trade conferences and webinars to promote the firms services and build relationships with trading participants in the APAC and European grains and agri commodity trading space (partiuclarly exchange-traded on ICE)

Experience:

• 1-3 years' or more experience in an execution/corporate sales position covering the commodities (ideally agri or soft commodities) hedging and risk management markets
• Good understanding of exchange traded and OTC derivatives (futures/options/swaps)
• Relevant CMFAS qualifications (assistance can be provided to obtain this if required)
• Good knowledge of commodity market analysis/risk management
• Experience in soft commodities or agricultural trading/brokerage environments
• Able to work on London hours from Singapore (16:00-2:00 local time)
• Located in Singapore or able to relocate
