Business Function
Corporate and Investment Banking provides corporate customers with a full range of commercial banking products and services, including cash management services, current accounts, time deposits, trade finance, working capital finance, term loans and foreign exchange. Through our continued commitment, DBS has cultivated long-standing relationships with its customers in the region that are based on account relationship management, service differentiation, product development and rigorous credit standards. The role sits within the FDI desk, an Institutional Banking Group (\xe2\x80\x9cIBG\xe2\x80\x9d) team focused on identifying and supporting the banking needs of customers moving business into Singapore and ASEAN more generally. The team collaborates widely across the bank, both regionally within IBG but also with Private Banking (\xe2\x80\x9cPB\xe2\x80\x9d) and Consumer Banking Group (\xe2\x80\x9cCBG\xe2\x80\x9d), to address customer requirements quickly and effectively. The team also supports business development and origination of this type of business opportunity and manages customer relationships directly where needed. Responsibilities

• Drive customer engagement and liaise with coverage teams to identify/originate business leads
• Work closely with bank coverage teams including regional coverage teams in IBG, PB and CBG to ensure customer banking requirements are met quickly and effectively
• Formulate, complete, and execute account plans for clients onboarded by FDI Desk to increase share of wallet by generating solutions and procuring support from product groups including capital markets (Debt Capital Markets, Equity Capital Markets and M&A), transaction banking services (Cash and Trade) and treasury, working closely in conjunction with product groups and colleagues in the region.
• Ability to identify cross-industry opportunities and drive synergies with existing clients of the bank.
• Where needed, handle customer relationship and banking needs directly in a timely manner and with due attention to business risks

Requirements

• Degree holder in Finance, Economics or related discipline.
• Prior experience in exposure and coverage for the north Asian region will be advantageous
• At least 5 years of experience in either institutional or private banking
• Strong credit and financial analytical skills with the ability to independently prepare credit applications for approvals,
• Demonstrated willingness to learn and committed to a career in the commodity space.
• Team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Results-oriented and strong business connections in identifying and developing business opportunities. Track record and experience in this aspect will be an advantage.
