Job Description

Business FunctionRisk Management Group - Operational Risk (RMG-OR) develops and maintains the Bank's risk management and internal control frameworks. As a second line function, we provide independent review and challenge to the business and support units to ensure a proper balance between risk and return in decision-making. RMG also monitors and reports on key risk issues of the Bank, and apprises management and risk committee(s) of the overall operational risk profile. Our commitment to effective risk management is supported by significant investments in our personnel and infrastructure, contributing to the Bank's strong performance.ResponsibilitiesThe role is part of the Central Operations support for the RMG-OR team, with key responsibilities including: Working with risk controllers within the team in Singapore as well as in overseas locations to produce reports on the Group's operational risk profile, key operational risk metrics, incidents, issues, etc Performing analysis of operational risk data to generate useful information and insights Providing reporting to senior management and board-level risk committees to facilitate their oversight of operational risk issues and overall risk profile in the DBS Group Providing secretarial support to risk committees, including managing meeting logistics, materials, minutes, and following up on action items Overseeing the team's budget and financials, including tracking expenses, forecasting and variance analyses Managing the team's regional scorecard and tracking performance against predefined measures/metricsProviding administrative support across the team e.g.


track training attendanceRequirements University degree or equivalent, with major study in Finance, Business Administration, Accountancy or Economics 6 to 8 years of experience in financial institutions, with exposure to operational risk and control areas. Prior experience in operational risk management, banking operations, middle office, or business and data analysis is preferred Good knowledge of banking products and processes in different businesses and/or operations (e.g. corporate banking, private banking, treasury & markets) Analytical and able to identify key themes and trends from data and information Strong writing and communication skills Ability to work in a team as well as with stakeholders in the business/support units High proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint and Word) Experience in data visualisation tools (such as Qlik and Tableau) will be an advantage-en
