Location/Division Specific Information Discover Impactful Work: The AWS Security Architect has global responsibility for technical solutions crafted to protect Thermo Fisher from a constantly evolving threat and vulnerability landscape. You will be responsible for the overall technical AWS security architecture for the enterprise security program. A Day in the Life:

• Architect multi-faceted AWS security solutions that ensure the resiliency against cyber threats throughout the enterprise with a heavy focus on AWS China regulatory requirements and compliance.
• Identify and prioritize corporate security risk and present solutions to facilitate our leadership to make informed decisions concerning enterprise cloud security
• Mentor and develop cloud security subject matter experts
• Provide insight on ways to apply the technology present more efficiently
• Continuously improve visibility and anomaly detection

Keys to Success:

• Ability to explain technical details to IT and business leadership with a focus on encouraging technical changes or investment where appropriate
• Ensure documentation and processes are well defined so that the engineered solutions are understood and repeatable
• Deep hands-on / technical knowledge of AWS, including AWS China, across multiple disciplines (regulatory requirements & compliance, network, storage, compute, etc.)
• Ensure solutions are well built, backed up & restore tested, and consistently maintained for health
• Proactively communicate and collaborate with the business on maintaining our security posture.

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in cybersecurity, computer science, or related field. Equivalent work experience is accepted
• Certifications not required, but encouraged: CISSP, AWS Security Engineering/Architecture, or other security-related certifications
• Demonstrate strong organizational and leadership capabilities

Experience

• 5+ years of cloud architecture & cybersecurity experience spanning multiple disciplines for a large-scale company
• Strong organization skills, leading sophisticated projects

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

• Strong problem-solving in both ambiguous and tactical situations with a bias for action
• Validated flexibility and ability to perform in a multidimensional environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Mandarin
