Description

As a Data Engineer, you are responsible for:

• Proficient in comprehending business requirements and converting them into design documentation, encompassing data ingestion and data modeling processes.
• Skilled in developing data pipelines to efficiently ingest data from diverse sources into data warehouses, enabling seamless consumption by third-party applications.
• Capable of creating and managing data schemas within data warehouses to ensure organised and optimised data storage.
• Experienced in handling data lake API calls from third-party applications and implementing robust access controls.
• Active participation in designing the architecture of data lake platforms for new use cases, leveraging expertise in data management and system design.
• Accountable for validating vendor-implemented changes and deploying them into the production environment of data lakes.

Profile

As a potential candidate, you shall possess:

• Minimum of 3 years in data engineering, encompassing data modelling, data pipeline development, data architecture, and ETL processes.
• Proficiency in utilising Microsoft Azure and related tooling for data engineering, including Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake Storage, Databricks, and Synapse.
• Strong knowledge of data modelling concepts and a comprehensive understanding of different data structures, along with their advantages and limitations.
• Demonstrated proficiency in writing SQL queries and developing stored procedures in languages like T-SQL and PL/SQL.
