One of our clients, a Cyber Security firm from EU, is looking to hire a

Backend Engineer

to join their rapidly expanding team in Singapore.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using modern technologies Implement and maintain microservices architecture Develop and deploy containerized applications using Docker Work with both SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB) Debug and optimize existing systems to ensure performance and stability Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Frontend, DevOps, and QA Ensure high-quality code through testing, peer reviews, and adherence to coding standards Take ownership of end-to-end development processes including requirement analysis, design, implementation, testing, and deployment Integrate backend services with RESTful APIs and CI/CD pipelines Apply security best practices and contribute to system architecture improvements

Required Qualifications

5+ years of backend development experience

, with a proven track record of delivering scalable solutions

Strong programming skills in Python

Proficiency in C programming

, especially for systems-level development

Experience with internal OS development

and working knowledge of Linux

Hands-on experience with Docker

and container orchestration

Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases

Familiarity with DevOps practices

and on-prem infrastructure

Experience with microservices architecture

and distributed systems

Understanding of system architecture principles

and performance optimization

Preferred Skills

Experience with CI/CD tools and pipeline integration Familiarity with Agile development methodologies Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and secure coding practices
