Job Description

:

• Implementation of new storage and emerging backup solutions as well as creation of new baseline, policies and procedures
• Monitor usage and performance of storage and perform capacity planning for storage growth to management through metrics dashboard with valuable business insights
• Apply scripting knowledge (Shell Script, PowerShell, Python, API) to automate BAU tasks and improved overall productivity and system stability
• Establish strategic partnership with existing backup & restoration vendors to drive cost savings through more effective support and engagement model
• Perform daily monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting of backup jobs on platforms (MS Active Directory, Exchange, Oracle, SQL Server, Windows, VMware, and UNIX servers).
• Perform online storage tuning, optimization and backup infrastructure configuration and maintenance
• Manage replication and other data movements during activities such as disaster recovery or migrations
• Manage and support storage systems, including vulnerability remediation, capacity management and backup policies administration & maintenances
• Analyze backup software performance accordingly to meet users’ needs and monitoring of scheduled backups to ensure success/failure to take necessary remedial action
• Assist in compliance and audit activities for enforcement of policies, standards and procedures

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• 3-5 years of experience in backup and restoration/recovery within the banking environment is preferred
• Experiences in the following domains – Exchange Server, Windows & Virtual Machine, Unix/Linux

Working Experience/Skills:

• Strong experience with capacity planning and storage systems design
• Has strong in-depth knowledge and working experience in Data Centre related domain with key operation functions including Enterprise Reporting, Enterprise Scheduling, Data Centre Operations and Data Centre Facilities Management.
• Ensure the delivery of 24x7 service operations, establishing metrics, KPIs, and process improvement/automation to continually improve the performance of Backup & Restoration
• Demonstrate strong skills to drive consistency of Backup & Restoration standards across regional context
• Good experience in process and Backup & Restoration automation for productivity improvement
• Team player with excellent consultative and communications skills and the proven ability to work effectively with internal and external IT/Non-IT stakeholders, vendors & consultants
