:Royal Ocean Marine is seeking a knowledgeable and proactive Barge Superintendent to join our client's operations. The Barge Superintendent will play a pivotal role in overseeing barge operations, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and promoting best practices within the team. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to contribute to our commitment to safety and excellence in marine operations.Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all barge activities, ensuring adherence to operational standards and safety policies.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits of barges to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
• Provide technical guidance and support to barge crews, addressing any operational challenges and safety concerns.
• Manage the maintenance and repair schedules for barges, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
• Prepare and maintain accurate documentation related to barge operations, including safety records, maintenance logs, and incident reports.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless logistics and effective communication within the team.
• Lead safety meetings and training sessions to promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in marine operations or a related field, with a focus on barges.
• Strong knowledge of maritime regulations, safety standards, and industry best practices.
• Proven experience in supervising marine operations and managing crews.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal abilities to work effectively with diverse teams.
• Proficiency in using marine management software and MS Office applications.
• Relevant certifications in safety and barge operations will be an advantage.
• Willingness to travel as needed to various operational sites.
