Position Objective
Coaching of the Sharks Basketball Club as determined by the Committee. This position will be required to provide
administrative, physical and organizational support to both the Sharks Basketball Club and the AIS Sports
Department in growing and developing the AIS Program. The role enables you will work closely with the Head
Coach of Sharks Basketball, President of Sharks Basketball Club, the AIS Sports Activities Coordinator and AIS
Head of Sport. To provide support to the Sharks Basketball Club, Physical Education, Representative and Co-
curricular Sporting Programs at AIS.Responsibilities
Primary ResponsibilitiesSharks Basketball

• Effectively communicate and create working relationships with the committee, coaches, team managers,

and club members

• Co-ordination of registrations with committee assistance
• Coordinate and attend trainings at AIS on Saturdays in conjunction with other Sharks\' coaches
• Coaching and organization of Sunday league games
• Assist with procurement/supply/sale of apparel
• Assist with club related duties where required

Physical Education Class Support

• Support the Physical Education teacher during lessons

Assistance with Sports Carnivals, Tournaments and Trainings

• Ability to assist staff with the set up and execute our major school sports carnivals and tournaments

throughout the year

• Assist with the daily set up and pack down of afternoon participation
• Represent sport activities
• Assist with daily set up for PE lessons

Maintenance of sports equipment

• Ensure all storerooms are organized and equipment is maintained and ready for use

Position Requirements

• Ability to work after hours on weekdays and on weekends
• Good working knowledge of Apple, MS Outlook, Office, Excel and PowerPoint
• Ability to communicate effectively via a variety of means - especially electronic - within a large

organisation

• Knowledge of Physical Education
• Ability to work collaboratively, effectively and flexibility with challenging environments
• Demonstrate initiative, enthusiasm in sports and School culture
• Bilingual (English/Local Spoken Language) skills would be advantageous
• Excellent command of English (both verbal and written)

Qualifications

• Prior experience in sports industry in overseeing a basketball club/organisation
• Coaching qualification in basketball will be an advantage
