Job Title: Beach Patrol Officer

Division/ Department: Island Operations/ Sentosa Resilience Department

Duties & Responsibilities

\xef\x82\xb7 Maintains constant surveillance of guest in the waters; acts immediately and appropriately to

secure safety of guest in the event of emergency

\xef\x82\xb7 Patrols public beach area to monitor activities of swimmers and intervene on safety issues and

illegal conduct:

\xef\x82\xb7 Presents professional attitude at all times, and maintains a high standard of customer service

\xef\x82\xb7 Observes activities in assigned area on foot, in buggy or from tower with binoculars to detect

hazardous conditions, such as swimmers in distress, disturbances, or safety infractions.

\xef\x82\xb7 Cautions people against use of unsafe beach areas or illegal conduct, such as drinking or fighting

\xef\x82\xb7 Rescues distressed persons from the beach, using rescue techniques and equipment

\xef\x82\xb7 Provides emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of emergency medical

services.

\xef\x82\xb7 Performs various maintenance duties as directed to maintain a clean and safe facility.

\xef\x82\xb7 Prepares and maintains appropriate activity reports.

\xef\x82\xb7 Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

\xef\x82\xb7 Occasionally operates switchboard or two-way radio system to maintain contact and coordinate

activities.

Requirements

\xef\x82\xb7 Minimum a Bronze Medallion by Singapore Life Saving Society

\xef\x82\xb7 Be able to communicate fluently in English

\xef\x82\xb7 Knowledge of First Aid, Automated External Defibrillation (AED) would be an advantage

\xef\x82\xb7 Able to work on weekends and Public Holidays on rotating shifts

\xef\x82\xb7 Team player with positive work attitude

\xef\x82\xb7 Guest-oriented with good interpersonal and communication skills would be an advantage
