• Gather and manage modeling requirements from the Product Development team and Systems Architecture team.
• Create 3D models and drawings of products, systems and overall building layout in Solidworks, Autodesk Revit platforms & perform integration in the BIM environment.
• Support use of BIM-DEX model translation tool to convert MCAD data for use in REVIT.
• Evaluate MCAD and BIM-based product designs for completeness, integrity and interface definition.
• Interrogate model-based designs for progress and compliance with quality and use-case objectives.
• Collaborate with relevant stakeholders (Vendors, A/E, TPMs, TLs) to support conversion of LOD400 MCAD (e.g. Solidworks) models to LOD300 Revit RFAs.
• Deliver and maintain design documentation such as Drawings, Bill of Material and manuals with revision control.
• Collaborate with relevant stakeholders (TPMs, TLs) to assess and document vendor design deliverables, integrity, quality and status. Track model creation, coordination and quality (e.g. requirements compliance, design intent compliance, standards compliance) against deliverable dates and highlight schedule risks for TPM to escalate.
• As needed, support development of configurable interface models in BIM/REVIT format based on MCAD product designs that leverage manufacturable LOD to ensure design integrity, with traceability to predecessor files in other softwares.
• Facilitate the distribution & use of product catalog in 3D BIM and MCAD formats.
• Host design integration meetings, workshops and model walk throughs.

Qualifications

• Degree or relevant experience in Mechanical or Civil Engineering.
• 10+ years of experience in Construction industry with Autodesk Revit/BIM (and/or)
• 10+ years of experience in the Engineering or Manufacturing industry with working experience in Solidworks.

Preferred Experience:

• 3DEXPERIENCE (3DX) or other PDM/PLM experience will be an added advantage.
• Familiar with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD & T) concept for design and manufacturing.
• Sound understanding of basic physical & mechanical principles, manufacturing, development, prototyping and testing
