Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Trade and manage biofuels portfolio, including sourcing, procurement, and sales activities.
• Analyse market trends and conditions to identify trading opportunities and develop profitable strategies.
• Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, customers, and industry stakeholders.
• Monitor and evaluate biofuels market dynamics, supply and demand factors, pricing trends, and regulatory developments.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure efficient logistics, storage, and delivery of biofuel products.
• Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing agreements with suppliers and customers.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement risk management strategies to minimise exposure.
• Prepare and present regular reports on market analysis, trading activities, and financial performance.
• Stay updated on industry trends, policies, and regulations related to biofuels trading.

Requirements:

• Bachelor\'s degree in a relevant field (e.g., business, finance, economics).
• 3-5 years of experience in the biofuel sector, preferably in biodiesel, fatty matter, UCO, and palm oil derivatives like POME/PFAD/PME.
• Strong knowledge of biofuel/biodiesel markets, pricing mechanisms, and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Proficiency in using trading platforms and software for market analysis and risk management.
• Ability to adapt to changing market conditions and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Knowledge of operational processes in the biofuels industry is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
