Location(s)Singapore, South EastCompanyKoch Minerals & TradingCareer FieldTradingJob Number154103Your JobThis is role will be a great opportunity for candidates who are motivated to manage the operational/commercial and technical requirements in Bunkering.Our TeamKoch Minerals & Trading (KM&T) with offices in Geneva, London, Singapore, Houston, Wichita, and New York is engaged in global trading and risk management activities in crude oil, refined petroleum products, metals and other commodities.Objectives

• Understand the roles and responsibilities of a Bunker Procurement Coordinator in a shipping company.
• Candidate will be guided on the workflow and daily responsibilities.
• Understand how bunker planning can add value to the team.
• Acquire knowledge on different grades of bunkers. Fuel Oil / Gas oil / LNG
• Understand how the fuel paper market affects our decision to procure bunkers.
• To be able to perform the role of a Bunker Procurement Coordinator by the end of the internship and drive bunkers related improvement projects in conjunction with other stakeholders and external parties.

What You Will Do

• Through bunker planning, minimize total cost of bunkers and maximize value that will drive competitive advantage to Koch Shipping requirements.
• Review and liaise with legal and bunker counter parties on General Terms and Conditions.
• Proactive in handling new marine bunkers legislation and bunker specifications
• Understand how different ports work different in terms of bunkering.
• Build relationships with bunker suppliers and bunker traders.
• Negotiate, execute and follow up on bunker orders.
• Work closely with Bunker suppliers and traders to ensure smooth delivery of bunkers.
• Post bunkering follow up. Settlement of invoicing, potential claim settlement and dispute resolution.
• Work closely with stake holders (Freight Traders/Vessel Operators) to understand how they are trading the ship and where to bunker is optimal for the P&L of the vessel.
• To analyse market dynamics/trends and execute the bunker planning.
• Identify new counter parties and valuate how they can value add to us.
