Job Description

Imperium Commodity Search is working with an independent Global trading firm & Supplier, with international offices across seeking an experienced Bunker Purchaser / Trader to lead the procurement & purchasing for the APAC region for the group. With established trading offices across Europe & Middle East supported by their strategic supply and cargo business this role will be responsible for developing supplier relations across the APAC region and purchasing duties for the groups wider business. The role will be working closely with their Global head of business to explore trading opportunities within the region to maximize profit for the group.
Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for developing relations with Suppliers within major ports across the APAC region.
• Work closely with the Bunker Trading & Cargo division to ensure purchasing requirements are met for the region maximizing business efficiency.
• Explore Back-to-Back trading opportunities within the region across Bunkers / Marine Fuels / LSFO / MGO and lubricants to maximize profit for the business.
• Produce daily pricing and market reports for the region and global bunker markets for the group & third parties.
• Responsible for maintaining account receivables and payments related to Bunker trades, whilst monitoring all enquiries.
• Business development, identifying new market opportunities to increase market share and revenue for the company within the marine fuels sector.

Experience:

• 3 years+ experience in a Purchasing or trading role within the Bunker / Marine fuels sector in the APAC region.
• Experience with building/maintaining relationships with suppliers & trader within Key ports and jurisdictions across APAC.
• Key understanding of Operations, Accounts management, and trading fundamentals.
• Proven record of managing and developing a portfolio of business within the bunker industry.
• Located in Singapore (Or willing to relocate) the role will be available to work remotely within the region.
