The Bus Driver is responsible for operating buses safely and efficiently to transport passengers, employees, or students to designated locations. The role requires strict adherence to traffic regulations, safety procedures, and schedules while ensuring passenger comfort and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate company or public buses to transport passengers along assigned routes and schedules.
Pick up and drop off passengers safely at designated stops or locations.
Ensure all passengers follow safety guidelines while boarding, riding, and alighting.
Conduct daily inspection of the bus (brakes, tyres, fuel, lights, and general condition).
Keep the bus clean, well-maintained, and in good working order.
Report any accidents, mechanical issues, or delays to the supervisor immediately.
Follow all road safety and traffic regulations.
Assist passengers when required, especially the elderly or persons with disabilities.
Maintain accurate trip logs, mileage records, and service reports.
Represent the company professionally and courteously at all times.
Requirements:
Valid Class 4 / Class 5 Singapore Driving Licence with Bus Driver Vocational Licence (BDVL) (if applicable).
Minimum 2-3 years of experience driving buses or heavy vehicles.
Good knowledge of local routes and traffic regulations.
Responsible, punctual, and customer-oriented.
Physically fit and safety-conscious.
Basic communication skills in English.
