The Job

• Partner with front office in GFM as a Business Manager to drive solutions, improve procedures/infrastructure for the Variable Capital Company (VCC) business and implement end to end systematically captured workflows. These include pre-trade compliance checks, order management, trading, investment operations, risk management/compliance/oversight, closed-book accounting, or performance measurement & attribution
• Liaise with internal stakeholders and external service providers/brokers for the setup and maintenance of trading accounts and with Fund Administrators and Custodians to support fund events, asset transfers and month end reporting
• Initiate negotiations and management of external service contracts with vendors to ensure that service level agreements are being met along with instigate RFP\'s and due diligence on new vendors/service providers are done periodically per contract end
• Provide secretariat support for VCC related committee meetings including preparation of presentation materials
• Review and work with business and support units to ensure VCC\'s compliance with regulatory requirements, including maintenance of registers and records (i.e. for investors and VCC directors)
• Support and coordinate with relevant parties on operational risk reporting, tax/regulatory filings, audit, insurance related matters, etc
• Perform assurance or risk /control related testing (where required)
• Participate in ad-hoc business development projects
