An exciting Business Development and Commercial Manager APAC job has just become available at a leading consumer healthcare company in Singapore.

About the Business Development and Commercial Manager APAC Role:
Reporting to Head of Business Development and Commercial APAC Director, you will be primarily responsible to act as business partner to the cross functional team of the organisation in identifying opportunity and project to maximise business impact and supporting function to the Regional Head of Commercial and Business Development in pursuing the group strategy in the region and leverage the alliance to drive business growth. This is a non-exhaustive scope and can evolve with business needs and market opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

Support Commercial Operations and Alliance Management

  • Coordinate with other departments within the company, including marketing, supply chain, regulatory, finance, to ensure seamless Export operations and timely delivery of products to Partners across the region
  • Support the Head of Commercial and Supply Chain and Demand Planner in reviewing partners\' monthly local sales performance, addressing issues and ensuring implementation of action plans Assist to prepare internal and external business reviews, including market insight, competition and segment trend
  • Maintain up-to-date key business performance indicators for all partnerships, co-owning the partnership dashboard and support strategic review of partnership
  • Support alliance management by ensuring consistent performance reporting across partners based on company\'s dedicated frameworks, create value for partners by fostering best-in-class practice sharing across the region
  • Collaborate with Head of Commercial, Strategic Planner and finance team to develop export sales budgets, forecast, 5Y revenue projections
  • Collaborate with the Regional team to leverage the alliance to drive business growth and identify operational optimisation efforts to improve key financial KPIs
  • Manage contractual agreements, working closely with legal team and ensure that all terms are well-defined and aligned with the mutually agreed-upon
Support Business Development efforts across the APAC Region
  • Develop a business development framework that integrates macro-economic indicators, regulatory analysis and market data aimed at identifying and prioritise business opportunities across the region
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to stay ahead of the competition and identify emerging business opportunities
  • Identify new business opportunities, expand market reach, and growth avenues through existing or new partnerships across the region
  • Prepare business cases for geographical expansion, new strategic partnership assessment, new product launches, business model evolution and other relevant strategic initiatives
  • Support decision making by working closely with the Business Excellence Manager to prepare market research and competitor analysis when relevant
  • Assist the Head of Commercial Operation and Business Development in creating persuasive and compelling business proposals, and preparing contract negotiation
Support innovation through new product launches across the APAC Region
  • Identify new product launches opportunities across existing markets building upon the group product portfolio and engage with partners to assess business interest
  • Work closely with partners to ensure successful execution of new product launches in alignment with the annual strategic plan and marketing objectives (pre and post launch)
  • Collaborate with partners to set the Key Performance indicators for the launch of new products and closely monitor performance monthly with partners
  • Act as facilitator to the Regional Strategic planner which co-own the Life Cycle Management (LCM) road map together with the APAC Regulatory Affairs Department
Support strategic imperatives aligned to company roadmap
  • Support the Regional team in the preparation of the strategic plan and contribute to annual operational plan for APAC region
  • Align partner\'s strategic and operational plans with the strategy and be responsible for timely execution according to company Ethics and operations standards
Animate a Partner Community
  • Build and nurture a positive working relationship with Partners, understanding their needs and business challenges to demonstrating strong support
  • Support the regional team in organising the annual Partner Xchange Seminar and other relevant events to enhance the competency, know-how and foster best practices among partners
To succeed in this Business Development and Commercial Manager APAC role, you will need to demonstrate great experience and a proven track record in consumer healthcare or FMCG industry.

Key Requirements:
  • Master\'s degree in Business, Marketing or a related field
  • Alliance management, Business development or a related role, preferably within the pharmaceutical industry
  • Minimum of three years\' relevant experience in similar role within FMCG and/or pharmaceutical industry
  • Analytical and strategic thinking abilities to identify opportunities
  • Problem-solving skills to address challenges and make data-driven decisions
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Ability to interpret, summarise and translate market insights into actionable strategies
  • Proactive in embarking cross-functional stakeholders either internal or external
  • Strong leadership and influencing skills together with excellent presentation skills
  • Eagerness to learn and develop into a new role
  • Experience in business development, alliance management
