We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced BD Director to lead our strategic growth initiatives in the trageted regions, with a key focus on electric vehicle (EV) battery cells and battery energy storage systems (BESS). Key Responsibilities

Market Development:
Identify and evaluate new business opportunities in EV battery cells and BESS projects across APAC.
Develop and execute regional go-to-market strategies tailored to local regulatory, commercial, and technical conditions.
Project & Opportunity Management:
Take the lead on strategic customer engagements and high-impact projects in India, the Middle East, and Turkey.
Oversee project lifecycle from initial engagement to commercial close and handover to delivery teams.
Strategic Partnerships & Alliances:
Build and manage relationships with OEMs, system integrators, project developers, utilities, and government stakeholders.
Identify joint venture, licensing, or investment opportunities that align with the company's growth objectives.
Competitive Intelligence & Reporting:
Analyse market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to inform product positioning and strategic decisions.
Deliver regular business updates and strategic insights to executive leadership.
Cross-functional Coordination:
Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, Legal, and Operations teams to ensure commercial viability and delivery alignment.
Support regional marketing initiatives, trade shows, and customer events as needed.
Requirements
----------------
Bachelor's degree in engineering, Business, or a related field; MBA or equivalent is a plus.
5+ years of relevant business development or commercial experience in EV batteries, or BESS.
Proven track record of closing multi-million-dollar deals and managing complex commercial negotiations.
Deep knowledge of energy ecosystems in India, the Middle East, and Turkey.
Strong network in automotive OEMs, energy project developers, EPCs, and/or governmental bodies in target regions.
Willingness to
travel frequently
across the assigned regions.
Entrepreneurial mindset with strong strategic thinking and execution capabilities.
Comfortable navigating multicultural and cross-functional environments.
