We are a rapidly growing retail and wholesale enterprise specializing in art supplies, dedicated to providing high-quality tools for artists, educational institutions, and creative enthusiasts. We seek a visionary Business Development Director to lead the team in breaking performance ceilings, integrating global resources, building a diversified art ecosystem, and driving the company to become an industry leader.





Core Responsibilities:


1. Revenue Growth Strategy


Develop and execute a 3-year business growth plan to increase market share and profitability. Analyze market trends and identify high-potential categories (e.g., digital art supplies, eco-friendly materials, educational kits). Optimize pricing, channel, and supply chain strategies to achieve 30% YoY revenue growth.


2. Global Brand Partnerships & Product Expansion


Lead partnerships with international art brands(EU/US/Japan/Korea) to secure exclusive distribution rights in Singapore. Negotiate cross-border agreements, manage brand onboarding, marketing support, and inventory coordination. Manage art materials suppliers(sourcing, price negotiations in English and Mandarin). Develop emerging product lines (e.g., art therapy tools, IP collaborations).


3. Owned Brand Incubation & Operations


Lead end-to-end development of proprietary art supply brands (0-1), covering product design, production partnerships, and brand positioning. Formulate integrated online-offline marketing strategies to create category bestsellers (e.g., professional-grade materials/child-safe art supplies).


4. Retail Network Expansion & Model Innovation


- - Expand footprint in Singaporean malls, art districts, and pop-ups (target: +5 retail locations in 3 years).


Design "Art Retail+" concepts (e.g., in-store workshops, gallery exhibitions).


5. China Market Entry & Subsidiary Establishment


Leverage familiarity with China's business landscape, mainstream channels, and art supply industry resources. Organize participation in key China exhibitions (e.g., CSF Culture Fair, China International Consumer Products Expo, Canton Fair, Shanghai Art Supplies Expo) to boost brand exposure. Requirement:Bilingual proficiency in art supply terminology; ability to frequently travel to China, negotiate fluently in Mandarin with local suppliers, and draft contracts in Chinese.


6. Art Ecosystem Partnerships


- - Forge partnerships with local institutions (e.g., UAS,NAFA, LASALLE, SOTA, galleries, art festivals) to co-develop products/courses for new product launches.


Develop B2B markets:MOE school procurement, corporate art team-building services, art studio partnerships, cultural project customization, and art-tech innovation.


7. Qualifications:


1?. Experience:


5+ years in retail/FMCG business development; candidates with art supplies, stationery, or industry resources preferred. Proven track record in leading international brand acquisitions, owned brand development, or omnichannel expansion projects.


2?. Skills:


Bilingual Mastery: Native-level Mandarin and business-fluent English for communication, negotiation, proposal writing, and drafting/amending supply contracts with international teams. Data-Driven: Proficient in using AI tools to analyze sales/user data and formulate growth strategies. Resource Integration:Established network with art academies, brands, commercial real estate, etc. Leadership:Experience managing 10+ cross-functional team members.


3?. Attributes:


Passion for the art industry with deep understanding of creator needs and usage scenarios. Adaptable to fast-paced startup environments; capable of managing multiple strategic projects concurrently.
