Client Acquisition & Sales
Identify and acquire new institutional clients (e.g., banks, family offices, pension funds, insurers)
Promote organization's suite of investment products and strategies in alignment with client needs
Lead sales activities and achieve AUM growth targets for the SEA region
Client Relationship Management
Build and nurture long-term relationships with key clients and partners
Provide timely market and product updates, and deliver high-quality client servicing
Manage ongoing communication with clients, addressing inquiries and gathering feedback to strengthen relationships
Regional Strategy & Market Insights
Conduct market analysis and gather competitive intelligence to identify emerging opportunities
Collaborate with internal stakeholders and HQ in China to tailor offerings for the SEA market
Prepare strategic plans for business development in the assigned territories
Translate market/client feedback into actionable proposals for internal teams
Cross-Border Collaboration
Liaise with Mandarin-speaking teams at HQ for client onboarding, marketing material, product info, etc.
Translate client requirements into actionable strategies for product/portfolio teams
Enhance brand recognition and thought leadership in the SEA investment community
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, Business or related field
At least 5 to 6 years of experience in business development, sales, or client relationship roles within asset management, private banking, or financial institutions
Solid knowledge of investment products including mutual funds, ETFs, fixed income, and equity strategies
Strong network of institutional investors in the SEA region
Excellent communication and presentation skills in English and Mandarin (to liaise with HQ in China)
Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Familiarity with regulatory frameworks across Southeast Asia markets
