The Opportunity:Adecco is partnering with a Swiss freight forwarding MNC, and we are looking for a dynamic Business Development Manager to join their business! Reporting to the Airfreight Manager, the successful incumbent will focus on driving Air and Ocean business growth in key markets, including UK/SG/UK and SG/IN/SG, by developing targeted trade lane strategies. This role involves maintaining and enhancing relationships with existing customers on these trade lanes and collaborating with management teams at both the origin and destination to create and execute effective sales promotion strategies.

• Permanent, full-time opportunity
• Location: Central region, near Chinatown MRT
• Working hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 6pm
• Basic salary: up to $8,000 / month

The Job:

• Drive the continuous growth of local and self-managed customers in collaboration with our partner.
• Arrange and conduct direct visits to both existing and prospective customers.
• Generate qualified sales leads for our partners in the UK and India.
• Coordinate and follow up on all sales leads exchanged with our partners in the UK and India.
• Maintain and strengthen relationships with our partners.
• Develop and implement general SOPs that align with customer requirements.
• Organize and manage schedules for overseas visits by our partners from the UK and India.
• Ensure all sales activities are recorded in the company\'s pipeline system and regularly shared with our partners in the UK and India. Provide assistance as needed in following up on payments from local customers.
• Leverage market and cultural knowledge to ensure smooth interactions between internal stakeholders and partners based in the UK and India.

The Talent:

• Strong experience in the freight forwarding/logistics industry, with specific knowledge in the UK/IN market is highly advantageous.
• Knowledge of operational procedures across both export and import in Airfreight is a plus.
• Highly driven and motivated, ability to work in both teams and individual settings.
• Strong communication skills to engage with customers and drive sales growth for the business.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
