At Genetic Design and Magic Corporation (GDMC), we believe in bringing the magic of novel genetic medicines to patients by innovating in manufacturing technologies that are critical to the delivery of that vision. As one of our Business Development Managers you will be the driving force in developing an overall commercial strategy and in helping us expand our partnerships with early-stage companies and investigators. You will also be heavily involved in sourcing, evaluating and structuring deals with client-partners. Job Responsibilities

  • Develop a growth strategy that focus on partner's satisfaction and financial gain.
  • Manage our existing partners and ensure strong long-term relationships.
  • Lead a team and direct them to identify and engage new markets and partners.
  • Understand the manufacturing landscape as well as potential competitors in Singapore and the APAC region.
  • Create deal flows and support deal structure and pricing with business value analysis; negotiate prices for proactive bids and proposals.
  • Position GDMC appropriately in the market in collaboration with the marketing department.
  • Evaluate deals (including M&A deals) for international expansion.
  • Oversee in licensing and out licensing GDMC assets.
  • Maintain and share professional knowledge through education, networking, events, and presentations.
Minimum requirements
  • 3-8 years of experience as business development manager, sales executive, or similar role in the bio-manufacturing or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Comprehensive understanding in the business operations, clientele and key players in the contract bio-manufacturing industry.
  • MBA or PhD in Life Sciences or related field preferred.
  • Familiarity with using CRMs (HubSpot, Salesforce, PipeDrive, etc.).
  • Experience with evaluating, structuring deals, market analysis and competitor analysis.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and global collaboration skills.
Desired Qualifications
  • Prior experience in the sales of gene therapy products, mRNA therapeutics or pDNA for manufacturing services is highly advantages.
  • Familiarity with the various stages and processes involved in an integrated biomanufacturing concept (Process development, MSAT, Upstream/Downstream, Fill and Finish).
  • Track record of contract manufacturing sales / deals made within APAC.
