We have a rare and exciting opportunity for a proactive and thoughtful Business Development Manager with experience in creative, digital or advertising agencies - to join us here at Orchid on our mission to help global brands bring empathy to complexity.
Working with some of the world\'s biggest and most innovative brands, we are looking to expand our existing business development team - with a BDM who loves consultative sales, who is comfortable with outreach and can quickly learn our services and USPs as well as our culture and values. This person will be working closely with our Business Development Director, CRO and CEO to grow our client base in the xxx region.
This person will play a key role in the agency, alongside a team of deeply skilled, passionate and like-minded people across the world by building and managing your own pipeline of opportunities, researching and reaching out to relevant new prospects and keeping an ear to the ground on the latest news, trends and opportunities for growth.
We\xe2\x80\x99re looking for a great collaborator and communicator, someone who understands the principles of brand strategy or design in general and has good experience managing prospect/client expectations and communication. Our perfect candidate will be naturally driven, a true self-starter with a willingness to succeed and grow within the agency and within their lives.
We are an independent and fairly modest agency in size, which means we have to be flexible and adaptable in chosen moments, try on new hats and help out in areas of the business that may need the support. The ideal candidate will love the idea of collaborating across the agency for the benefit of the wider team.
Requirements:
- You are respectful, committed, open-minded, courageous, thoughtful and a great person to represent Orchid in anything from boardrooms and workshop sessions to conference stages, drinks, parties.
- 2+ years in a business development or account growth role, within creative, digital or advertising agency
- Ability to build great relationships with clients to truly understand their objectives and deliver on them.
- Sales pipeline management and sales administration
- An interest in best practice for design, tech and innovation
- High level of self-certainty, integrity and motivation
- Adaptable and flexible in your approach
- Excellent written and verbal communication as well as great listener
- Comfortable presenting to large groups and senior management or board level stakeholders, both client and agency side
- Native/Bilingual English level is required. Any additional language is a huge plus.
_ Have the right to work in Singapore already as a resident or PR, will not be sponsoring a visa application.
