Business Development Manager is a commercial role selling BioReliance\xc2\xae Biosafety Testing Services to customers in Singapore and Taiwan via phone, e-mail and face to face communication. This role will be also be responsible for the direct selling activities in focus accounts, attendance at key events and maintain close contact with key accounts for quotation of routine testing services and proposal generation for custom projects. This role will also be responsible to assist marketing in lead generation and qualification activities.

Key Accountabilities:

Consistently achieve or exceed the territory sales plan by applying a working knowledge of Professional Consultative and Strategic Selling skills to maintain existing business, developing incremental business in existing accounts, and prospecting to develop new accounts.

Demonstrate use of selling skills in the field, such as making good opening statements, rapidly establishing a rapport with the customer, asking effective open questions, creating the value proposition and closing.

Develop and maintain effective business relationships, at all levels within assigned accounts to influence purchasing decisions.

Develop, maintain and execute a Strategic Business Plan for the assigned territory to demonstrate effective territory planning and management skills.

Develop profiles of key accounts to identify key decision makers, influencers and opinion leaders.

Maintain and increase current customer database through Company customer relations management software (SFDC).

Utilise available data sources to analyse and capitalise on territory opportunities with the greatest ROI.

Communicate key competitive activities, trends, and changing customer development plans and priorities, which include emerging customers.

Attain or exceed assigned sales goals, profit goals, and market share goals consistently with respect to expense guidelines.

Develop and implement account specific strategic plans.

Formulate and recommend pricing strategies for key accounts.

Requirements:

Good scientific credentials, qualifications at least to first degree level in areas of the life sciences; MSc or PhD preferred.

Requires a minimum of 3+ years of relevant sales / technical sales experience or equivalent, ideally balanced in a contract testing service environment of bio-manufacturing environment.

Relevant industry experience in a pharmaceutical or biotechnology environment is required.

Experience within a regulated environment and ability to interact effectively with quality assurance / quality control professionals

Strong negotiating skills required. As \xe2\x80\x9cvoice of the expert\xe2\x80\x9d, provide effective communication and working relationships with customers.

Customer centric mindset and possess a continuous improvement attitude.
