As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible to support the BD Director & the team with the development of new business opportunities that are sold at a price to deliver the customers\' requirements without compromising our quality service. Develop own skills to be able to manage own sales opportunities through to completion.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develops a strategy to achieve market leadership and create a market opportunity in designated Sector/ Geography to achieve growth plan.
  • Builds close working relationships with the wider CBRE business and communicate the market strategy and investment plan to achieve this strategy as well as the progress to leadership to ensure alignment.
  • Oversees the development and monitoring of a pipeline of opportunities within the market for both new and existing customers that have the potential to achieve or exceed the growth targets and which are in-line with the business strategy, as well as diversify the target segment base in view of long term growth opportunities.
  • Closely follows our governance process and forecasts business secured against the plan.
  • Leads the team and ensure coordination in the development of value propositions for the target markets, engaging lines of business owners to ensure all of CBRE articulated in the customer\'s language and develop strategies to expand to new capabilities to address the market needs and build a stronger value proposition.
  • Monitors the trends and movements in the market, potential industry and client professional/trade organizations and competitors; disseminating information to ensure CBRE is adequately informed and capitalizes on the information.
  • Seeks opportunities for leadership positions and speaking engagement in professional organizations and vertical market trade organizations.
  • Ensures sales governance and that all targets and opportunities are recorded and updated within the applicable systems and that all internal processes are rigorously followed.
  • Collaborates with marcom teams to raise the awareness of CBRE capabilities with target customers in the given market.
  • Builds and provides guidance, development, mentoring and sales leadership to the sales team and support their professional success and continued growth.
  • Leads by example and models behaviors that are consistent with the company\'s value.
Qualification, Knowledge & Experience:
  • Distinguished track record of winning complex sales opportunities in an outsourcing industry.
  • Consulting background with documented ability to influence a client\'s decision making process.
  • At least ten to fifteen years of related experience in IFM
  • A motivated team player who is able to lead a diverse group with direction and passion.
  • An excellent influencer at all organizational levels, including the ability to develop credibility and trust quickly with senior managers/decision makers.
  • An existing profile in the market with demonstrable networking skills and senior level contacts in the industry.
  • Able to listen and think strategically, manage risk and be innovative in problem solving.
  • Business minded, change orientated and pro-active.
  • A consummate people manager.
  • BA Required, MA preferred
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Ability to work within a matrix organization and work closely with all business divisions.
  • A professional with the highest business acumen, who has the charisma and commercial judgment to influence and gain credibility at board level.
