Build and nurture an active, long-term network of third-party partners, including loan brokers, business agents, and other key referral partners.
Generate a steady pipeline of high-quality business referrals by establishing trust and maintaining professional engagement with the partner network.
Serve as the primary point of contact for referred SME clients, conducting in-depth needs-analyses to understand their financing requirements and propose suitable lending solutions.
Deliver a high standard of customer service, ensuring all client inquiries and concerns are resolved promptly and professionally.
Actively source new lending opportunities by leveraging the broker network and identifying new strategic partnerships.
Conduct a preliminary assessment of potential SME clients, evaluating their overall financial health, business model viability, and general credit standing.
Prepare and package initial assessments and recommendations for the internal Credit team to facilitate their formal review and approval process.
Structure and negotiate key loan terms and pricing, ensuring all proposals are aligned with the company's internal policies and external regulatory guidelines.
Manage an active portfolio of SME loan clients, including the precise monitoring of payment schedules and ongoing repayment behavior.
Collaborate with the Collections Manager to address overdue payments and assist in the execution of appropriate recovery strategies.
Proactively monitor the portfolio for early warning signs of credit risk, taking preemptive steps to mitigate defaults.
Guide SME clients through the application process, assisting them in compiling all necessary documentation for a complete submission.
Oversee the client's journey through the end-to-end loan process, from the first inquiry to disbursement and all post-loan servicing.
Provide foundational financial advisory to clients, offering insights on managing cash flow, working capital, and developing sustainable growth strategies.
Job Requirements:
A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in commercial banking, with direct exposure to SME lending or relationship management (RM) for SME-focused portfolios.
A demonstrable track record in financial sales or business development within the banking or finance industry, specifically targeting SMEs.
A pre-existing, active network of brokers, referral agents, and potential SME clients is a significant advantage.
A strong ability to analyze SME financial statements and a deep understanding of business operations and fundamental credit principles.
Possesses strong interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
Must be able to work autonomously, demonstrate a resourceful approach to problem-solving, and maintain a focus on achieving results.
A working knowledge of Singapore's financial regulatory framework and established lending practices.
