Position Summary
We are hiring for a new position, a Senior Business Development Manager in Singapore to pursue large organisations across SE Asia which are not yet SHL clients. This SHL role is "pure hunt": you will engage and convert prospective client organizations that have not purchased from SHL, negotiate multi-year contracts, and transition signed accounts to the Customer Success team. Success is measured by new annual recurring revenue (ARR) and number of new clients closed.
Key Responsibilities
New-Business Generation
Generate C-level leads through targeted networking, referrals, leads and high-volume cold calling; secure phone, video or on-site meetings.
Map white-space accounts, create penetration plans and build qualified opportunity pipelines.
Discover, develop and close new sales opportunities to exceed monthly, quarterly and annual revenue targets.
Consultative Selling
Employ insight-led selling techniques to convert senior executives into active buyers.
Diagnose clients' most critical business and talent challenges through skilled questioning.
Collaborate with internal assessment scientists and consultants to deliver compelling virtual and on-site demonstrations.
Position SHL solutions in the client's business context and articulate a customer-centric value vision.
Navigate complex decision-making units, remove blockers and leverage urgency drivers to bring deals to signature.
Pipeline & Forecast Management
Maintain disciplined use of Salesforce for account, contact, opportunity, forecasting and quotation management in strict alignment with SHL's "Summit" sales process.
Provide accurate monthly and quarterly forecasts; achieve.
Monitor market trends and evolving client needs; translate insights into actionable solutions.
Capture and share best-practice playbooks that improve win-rates across the team.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of SHL's full solution portfolio and new delivery mechanisms; complete personal development plan priorities on schedule.
Brand Ambassadorship
Increase SHL's brand visibility at industry events, on social media and within executive networks.
Operate as the de-facto owner of your territory, building a sustainable book of business.
Required Experience
Minimum 7 years of demonstrable new-business development and contract negotiation success in consulting or B2B service environments; HR-tech or talent-assessment industry strongly preferred.
Proven track record of carrying individual revenue quota and exceeding monthly, quarterly and annual targets.
Established network and credibility with HR leaders and/or C-suite executives in SE Asia.
