Wilhelmsen Ships Service (WSS) is looking for a Business Director \xe2\x80\x93 Energy Solutions.
As we enter a new era in Wilhelmsen, we are looking to continue our tradition for innovation and shaping the maritime industry. The role of Business Director Energy Solutions will be instrumental in setting the direction and driving the Energy Solution Product range in WSS further. Tasked with leading and managing Energy Solution function. You will be directing the development of our product range, growing sales, and improving overall profitability. Setting frameworks and standard practices, monitor and support activities and results against target, including setting requirements for other functions such as Operations.
You will guide the Energy Product Managers and team to be the point of reference and authority for the product ranges across all geographic areas and help them to understand how the use of our products create value for the customer and our key selling points. Therefore, would routinely need to follow up on global sales strategies, policies, campaigns, and initiatives whilst being an effective role model by exuding a \xe2\x80\x98can do\xe2\x80\x99, forward leaning approach to strategy development, growth activities, and cross-functional collaboration.
Who you will work with:
The Business Director Energy Solutions will report to the Vice President Propulsion & Performance Solutions, forming part of the WSS\xe2\x80\x99 Tech & Product Management team. This role will work closely with different product teams as well as Business Directors.
What you will work on:
Managing the profit and loss (P&L) including cost-to-serve and cost allocation models for Energy Solutions whilst also defining P&L ambitions for the respective product categories
Contributing the budgeting process allowing monthly business reviews to optimize the solution
Managing the development of training of the offer for sales, customer services and operations, as well as increasing external understanding
Leading the Energy Solutions management team, developing product and market strategies
Monitoring and managing the marketing mix (7 P\xe2\x80\x99s) of the Energy solutions particularly price positioning, promotional activities to drive profitable growth and the product brand (brand selection, management, and development) within the given frameworks
Aligning customer needs across the product, sales, and operations organizations and develop plans and tactics for the customer portfolio
Supporting negotiations with relevant customer contracts, suppliers, and in sub-contractor agreements
Contributing the strategic development of distribution centers, inventory management and planning, operational footprint as well as network design
Planning the procurement activities in conjunction with inventory planners, product managers, procurement resources, global distribution, and operations
Collaborating with procurement to monitor supplier performance through optimal supplier set-up, follow-up and supply chain resilience
Developing inventory policies for the portfolio and review and monitor logistics cost, inventory turnover, availability, lead times and service levels
Supporting the defining activities; technical, operational and user requirements to aid the modernized solution offerings, customer services\xe2\x80\x99 effectiveness and improvement efforts of the customers journeys
What you need to succeed in the role:
Master\xe2\x80\x99s degree or equivalent in engineering, technical studies and / or business administration
Minimum 5 years of managerial experience from maritime industry, preferably with P&L responsibility
Fluent in English
