Summary The PTS Insights team combines Supply Chain Expertise and an analytical problem-solving mindset to make step change improvements in our Supply Chain Performance (and Performance Promises) through the identification of trends and opportunities, recommending actions, and optimizing business and patient outcomes. The PTS Insights & Analytics team is a center for the generation of actionable insights and excellence in Supply Chain, with particular focus to key areas critical to Planning Optimisation, in Demand, Supply, Inventory and Capacity. As a key member of the Supply Chain Insights and Analytics Group, the Business Forecast Analyst will be a key driver in the expansion of our understanding, optimisation and prediction of future state of Supply Chain and Demand Forecasting, working closely with Affiliates and Data Scientists to provide internal expertise on demand forecasting best practice. The Position The Business Forecasting Analyst is an innovative, solution focused Supply Chain subject matter expert, who will work in agile teams, partnering closely with Global functions across Roche,in exploration of data and analytics to generate insights and optimize decision making for realizing organizational goals. Contributing to cross functional teams, with specific focus on designing and delivering optimal solutions for the generation of value for both the organization and patients. The Business Forecasting Analyst will work on the realization of organizational goals through the optimization of demand forecasting as a centre of excellence for enable affiliates to achieve accurate and automated forecasts. Including working with other Insights analysts on both both financial and volume performance visibility and understanding, as well as identifying challenges and opportunities and potential solutions. In addition the role will drive process and decision making optimisation, by following a 5 step approach: 1) Collaborate with Affiliates to understand product performance and charactersitics. 2) Working with Data scientists to optimize forecasting models and tools 3) Navigate and explore data to build knowledge and facts. 4) Applies problem solving and analytical lens to generate insights and potential improvements. Delivers and explains opportunities to Supply Chain Leaders and SME's. 5) Coaches and supports execution of opportunity to realize Value. This role is for an experienced Supply Chain professional, with a track record of the utilization of Analytics in Supply Chain in the Pharmaceutical or similar industry, with a comprehensive understanding of operational processes and systems, organizational needs, and with a value focused approach. You will collaborate with industry leading talent and expertise, and with access to market leading technologies, tools and resources, create and implement innovative high impact solutions. The scope of accountabilities includes but is not limited to the following tasks and roles: Product insight and expertise in one or more areas of Supply Chain (Demand, Supply, Inventory, Capacity, Service). Key part of an insight POD, focused on delivering a program of actionable business intelligence, and future prediction. Partner closely with business Capability Owners and functional leads to understand key challenges and opportunities, and work together to identify and design opportunities. Liaise with Data Scientists to ensure optimisation of any forecasting models or optimisation tools. Collaborating with Affiliates as required to share insights and explore opportunities. For Demand roles, provide advice and expertise on demand forecasting models and tools. Collaborating with Data Scientists and commercial affiliates. Provide strategic data and analytics architectural assessments, strategies, and roadmaps for one or more areas of focus. Contribute to the design and execution of the analytics vision, architecture, and program, and driving a common vision, practices and capabilities across teams. Engage with business stakeholders to understand their needs and capabilities, integrating business knowledge with technical solutions. Demonstrate broad solutions knowledge and analytical leadership, impacting significant organizational direction, exerting influence outside of the immediate team and driving change. Bypass roadblocks created by standard Roche processes to effectively try new ideas and ways of working, through effective stakeholder management to deliver results in short periods of time Champion statistical forecasting approaches and drive Affiliates adoption of automated demand outputs for local supply chain planning activities, providing guidance, training and support as required and acting as their main point of contact Supervise the selection of Affiliate product presentations to be forecasted through statistical methodologies and provide recommendations on the levels of confidence and quality of such approaches across the portfolio Support the effort to build a collaboration network within Roche for Data and Analytics. With an internal consultant approach, the Integrated Insights & Analytics Lead must have a deep understanding of Supply Chain best practice and proven experience in leading teams in problem solving in an Agile environment. In addition to these competencies, you provide a mix the following qualifications: 5+ years experience in Supply Chain, in either Operational, Planning or Strategic roles. BS/MS/Ph.D Degree in Biotech, Data Science, Business, Computer Science or similar. 2+ years experience utilizing Data and Analytics for generating insights and creating business intelligence. Experience in forecasting or demand planning required for Demand insights POD roles. Including prior knowledge of affiliate forecasting methodologies and processes. Fluent and current on analytics tools and data visualization trends APICS accredited is preferred Demonstrate behaviors of VACC as a leader (Visionary, Architect, Coach, Catalyst) Superior verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present and sell solutions/concepts to other architects and to business users and stakeholders. Data & Analytics project implementation experiences that exploit the full capabilities (discover, design, implement and optimization). Experience in a professional services / consulting firm is an asset. Technology and Data savviness, passionate about latest technology trends and data driven mindset, innovative and curious mindset, with a passion for learning and teaching Self driven and proactive, comfortable to deliver as a team leader, team member and individual contributor Ability to effectively communicate and influence others across ALL levels of the organization in order to drive transformational change Financial and Business Acumen including business case development Knowledge of: SCRUM, Agile Methodologies, Change Management, Project Management. Highly proficient in authoring, editing and presenting both business and technical documents. Ability to elicit requirements and communicate clearly with non-technical individuals, development teams, and other ancillary project members. Excellent problem-solving skills.
