He/She will be working closely with the Head of Lending APAC to provide business management support on all areas of responsibilities under the Head of Lending APAC. He/She will be a core member of the Lending APAC Management Team (\xe2\x80\x9cMT\xe2\x80\x9d).About the function:Lending APAC is responsible for the end-to-end management of all lending activities in Wholesale Bank (\xe2\x80\x9cWB\xe2\x80\x9d) across ING\xe2\x80\x99s eleven offices in APAC. This includes working with stakeholders on the co-origination and structuring of loans, the effective client-centric delivery of such loans to the clients including internal processes, delivery platforms and customer experience, the management of the credit performance of loans in the entire loan life cycle, the management of the loan portfolio towards an optimal balance sheet, and ensuring an effective control environment for the Lending function. ING WB APAC offers lending solutions to our clients, that are mainly large corporations and financial institutions, across various core industry sectors, with a broad suite of loan types including project finance, acquisition finance, trade finance, structured export finance, and sustainability linked loans.Role responsibilities:The Business Manager (\xe2\x80\x9cBM\xe2\x80\x9d) provides support to the Head of Lending APAC, and works closely with other members in Lending, and a wide range of local/regional/global stakeholders, including front office stakeholders in functions such as Sectors Coverage, Capital Markets & Advisory, and Transaction Services, as well as stakeholders in other enabling functions such as Risk, Finance, Operations, and HR. The job scope is multi-faceted with interactions across a broad range of functions and disciplines within WB.The role will focus on a few key areas:Business Performance, Financial Planning & Control

  • Collaborate with the Finance Business Partners or other stakeholders to develop and deliver a suite of business performance metrics that provide the Head of Lending and the Lending MT with both timely and informative insights that support them in the day-to-day management of the business.
  • Support the business lines with the development of their dynamic plans and ensure the rolling forecasts accurately reflect anticipated outcomes for the reporting periods.
  • Monitor delivery against the annual KPI framework for the Head of Lending and the MT, ensuring alignment with the overall WB / Lending strategic agenda.
Governance, Non-Financial Risk (NFR) and Change programs
  • Coordinate and run the agenda for the Lending MT, as well as manage the follow-up actions from the MT meetings.
  • Lead/participate in the implementation of Change programs, including the relevant Risk and Control Self Assessments, gap analysis relating to new/ amended policies and control standards, and outsourcing assessments.
  • Work with Lending colleagues and second line stakeholders across Credit Risk, Operational Risk, and IT Risk, as well as internal outsourced service providers, to coordinate Key Control Testing of the Lending Product Control Framework.
  • Ensure that Non-Financial Risk gaps/incidents are duly addressed, with time closure of gaps and close monitoring of the progress on such closures against relevant timelines.
  • Lead/coordinate the establishment and timely reviews of Product Approvals (PARPs), and PARP gatekeeping activities.
  • Attend meetings as a delegate of the Head of Lending where required.
Internal Communication
  • Prepare internal presentations and briefings and conduct ad hoc analysis on a diverse range of topics where required.
People
  • Work closely with the Lending MT and the APAC HR to support the successful delivery of the strategic people action plan for the business, and other people-oriented plans or reviews such as the design and delivery of action plans based on employee engagement surveys, and HR-led talent reviews and succession planning.
Strategy and Change
  • Partner with internal functions such as Tribe Lending, and Transformation leads, Partner with Front Office teams to drive efficiency, automation and collaboration across Lending APAC.
Qualifications and Competencies:An independent team player who plans and makes priorities with high attention to quality and deadlines. Demonstrate a collaborative mindset to Take it on and Make it happen.Qualification/EducationEssential:
  • Minimum BA/BS in business administration, finance or relevant field. Alternatively, can show strong analytical skills from another discipline.
Experience/KnowledgeEssential:
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Minimum 5 years corporate banking experience. Demonstrated strong competence with PowerPoint and Excel.
Desirable:
  • Experience in interpreting and implementing policies, control standards procedures, and controls. Track record of utilising Power BI to simplify / improve reporting processes.
