Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, from initial framing to the business review process
Analyze monthly and weekly sales variances, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities
Review and report on operational controls, including expenses, to key stakeholders for performance evaluation
Prepare month-end accruals, review operating expenses (OPEX), and provide monthly variance reports
Collaborate closely with the Regional Finance team to optimize all balance sheet items, with a focus on cash and working capital
Review monthly stock reconciliation with the Accounting and local Supply Chain teams
Ensure accurate allocation of invoices and petty cash claims to respective cost centers and accounts codes
Review monthly reconciliation of warehouse stocks between the system and warehouse WMS stock report
Monitor inventory levels and propose clearance solutions or inventory allocations
Internal Control & Compliance:
Assist in planning and executing bi-annual stock take and reporting requirements
Review and control store expenses by regularly comparing prices with competitive suppliers
Monitor internal controls to ensure compliance with corporate governance requirements
Ensure adherence to proper procedures for cash, credit card processing, store petty cash, and sales float management
Projects:
Participate in, lead, or manage ad-hoc projects, such as boutique operations handbook matters, coordination with internal and external audits, wholesale-to-retail transitions, multi-country management, and POS implementation
Occasional travel may be required
Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, with regional exposure being an advantage
Bachelor\'s Degree in Accountancy or Business. Possessing a Chartered Accountant/ACCA qualification will be an added advantage
Strong team player, capable of working in a matrixed and diverse environment
Excellent analytical and organizational skills, with a curious and logical mindset
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Previous experience in retail, wholesale, or luxury fashion would be beneficial
Good knowledge of business and markets
Strong analytical and synthesis skills
