Job Description

The Role Responsibilities
Strategy

  • Liaise with the Macro Management Team on a regular basis to understand the specific needs of their business.
  • Manage the communications for Macro Trading and ensure the strategic agenda is communicated clearly and to the appropriate audiences.
  • Partner with other FM COOs and wider Bank COO/BPM/BM members to maximise opportunities for FM Macro Trading through the effective showcase of FM core product capabilities.
  • Support CCIB Marketing Team to document and track Macro Trading's participation in global bank wide marketing plans, leading periodic reviews across FM businesses to track successes and highlight challenges.
  • Manage the agendas, materials and track action items for Macro related meetings including Macro MT meetings, offsites and external events.
Business
  • Monitor the cost and headcount targets for the Macro Trading business
  • Manage the market data costs, contracts, and approvals across all of Macro Trading
  • Support the project planning process and resource allocations for the various projects in Macro Trading
  • Showcase the product capabilities of the Macro Trading business by developing pitch-books and supporting marketing materials.
  • Ensure marketing programmes and marketing collateral are optimised through a multi-channel approach that includes digital, social, events and conferences; this includes the Bank's participation and sponsorship in external forums.
  • Support strategic reviews, business plans, and associated projects.
Growth Opportunities
  • Engage constructively and diligently follow up on internal decisions that need to be taken to enable growth initiatives to be executed.
  • Understand key business dynamics; ensure strong execution to support business capture of potential growth areas and client wallet growth opportunities.
  • Work closely with other FM COO functions to maximise opportunities for all product lines and enhance client offerings.

  • Lead through example and build the appropriate culture and values. Set appropriate tone and expectations amongst colleagues and work in collaboration with risk and control partners.
  • Drive employment, engagement, and retention of high-quality people.
  • Actively communicate vision, priorities, and progress to the business to foster engagement, awareness and motivation; effectively communicate and reinforce strategic change and support the organisation structure and people programs to be aligned and geared towards supporting change through strong execution of FM D&I agenda.
  • Contribute to continuous process improvement and sharing best practice.
  • Support the setting and monitor of job descriptions and objectives where appropriate, and support management in giving feedback.
Governance
  • Promote an environment where compliance with internal control functions and the external regulatory framework is a central priority of business.
  • Support supervision of the framework to ensure business functions under my area of responsibility comply with internal policies, procedures, codes and applicable external laws and regulations and adhere to the expected high standards set out in the FM Code of Conduct.
  • Awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework in which the Group operates, and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role.

Our Ideal Candidate
  • 6+ years of relevant experience in Banking and / or Service
  • Any Diploma or Graduate Degree from a recognized University
  • Intermediate understanding of Financial Markets (and products) across sales and trading
  • Experience in Risk Management, Information Systems(Data Conversion & Reporting), FX, Interest rates, Credit Derivatives, Commodities, etc.
  • Experience in skills such as information gathering, problem solving, business analysis, etc
  • Must have excellent organisational skills and multi-tasking skills
  • Ability to manage confidential/sensitive information discretely.
  • Excellent verbal, presentation and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, ideation and time management skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite, especially Powerpoint
