About the Job
This position is responsible in executing procurement strategies in support of Texas Instruments Clark’s factory operation. It offers a challenging work environment that allows growth opportunities in strategic sourcing and global supply chain management. Buyers are key persons for sourcing and commodity management. They are expected to formulate and execute strategies in line with TI’s company goals and develop competitive advantage. This involves (1) understanding the market as it relates to cost and value, capacity and supply, competition, and risk, (2) effective supplier performance management, (3) adherence to internal and regulatory requirements, (4) executing contracts and (5) champion TI’s ethics and quality expectations to suppliers. Apart from strategic activities, daily routine tasks involve purchasing activities related to acquiring materials and services in coordination with manufacturing, planning and engineering groups and other internal partners. These can involve running RFQs, creating and managing purchase orders, and expediting deliveries as needed and keeping supplier accountable in compliance requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Management, a Master’s in Business Administration or Management.
  • Having at least 5 years’ experience in working in procurement for semiconductor companies and relevant professional procurement certifications will be a major advantage
  • Experience in supplier audits with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 criteria is an advantage
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Effective Negotiation, Planning and Project Management skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrate initiative and self-motivation to drive for results
  • Ability to work effectively in an interrupt-driven, fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
  • Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Knowledge in SAP and Zycus is an advantage
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel locally and internationally as needed
