Job Description
:
- Location: Pasir Panjang
- Working hours: 8.30am to 5.00pm (Monday to Thursday); 8.30am to 4.00pm (Friday).
- Salary: Basic up to $5000 + AWS + VB
- The incumbent will be responsible to assist the Purchasing Manager to manage all aspects of purchasing to efficiently and cost-effectively support organizational operations.
- Provide primary purchasing, expediting and tracking services for assigned group of vessels.
- Estimate and establish cost parameters and budgets for purchases.
- Responsible for sourcing, comparison and selection with existing / potential new suppliers.
- Handling purchase requisition, quote and issuance of PO.
- Negotiate the best deal for pricing and supply contracts.
- Any other duties as instructed by the management.
- Minimum Diploma in Supply Chain Management.
- Minimum 3 years experience as a buyer or related position.
- Good negotiation skills.
- Reliable, meticulous, resourceful and aggressive in sourcing.
- Resourceful and self-starter with good interpersonal skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
