Your new job includes

  • negotiate with Brands and align their expectations with the Asia Pacific Regional Purchasing strategy set by Heinemann to ensure that we continue to be a stable and reliable Brand partner, while also ensuring that we achieve the most competitive and favourable terms and conditions.
  • influence a positive and fruitful partnership with Brands to support our customers\xe2\x80\x99 preferences, needs and requirements through our local Retail and Distribution entities and partners.
  • collaborate with internal stakeholders such as regional and local Category Management and Supply Chain departments to ensure that we are meeting the market and customers\xe2\x80\x99 demands.
  • identify and analyse trends, including competitors\xe2\x80\x99 analyses and industry\xe2\x80\x99s latest news, to ensure that strategies and plans implemented are relevant and appropriate to the Asia Pacific market, and facilitate changes as and when necessary.
  • define and execute merchandise strategies to meet the Company\xe2\x80\x99s financial targets and productivity metrics which includes performance, sales, inventory, receipt, and margin goals.
  • provide technical and professional expertise when supporting the category for new projects or tenders.


What you should bring along

  • a Degree in Business, or any related discipline with at least 3 years of practical experience in a Purchasing function preferably within the Retail industry and/or within the Perfumes and Cosmetics category.
  • proficiency in using SAP system and Microsoft Office such as Excel, Power Point, Word, Outlook, Visio and Teams.
  • strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills with proven ability to sustain long-term relationships.
  • excellent business and financial acumen resulting in an organised day-to-day management of the team, and external stakeholders.
  • a pronounced can-do attitude, complemented by the capability to multi-task in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
