The Opportunity:Adecco is partnering with a world-leading provider of equipment and services to the semiconductor manufacturing industry, and we are seeking a talent to join their business as a Buyer! Reporting to the Strategic Sourcing Director, the successful incumbent will manage vendors on commodities related to machines, procure materials for manufacturing and aftermarket requirements, and evaluate supplier performances.

• Work location: Serangoon North
• Work hours: Mon-Fri, 9am-6pm
• Monthly basic up to $4,000 + AWS + VB
• Semiconductor manufacturing industry

The Job:

• Drive the strategic supply chain objectives for a portfolio of low volume, high mix parts and assemblies.
• Manage cost, quality, delivery, and on-hand inventory for suppliers across the AP region.
• Monitor daily reports, MRP systems, and Vendor Portals to ensure timely product delivery to manufacturing sites.
• Procure materials for both manufacturing and aftermarket needs.
• Evaluate supplier performance based on metrics including cost, quality, and delivery, while managing accounts payable and addressing technical issues.
• Identify and cultivate new supply sources as necessary.
• Coordinate purchasing activities with manufacturing, aftermarket, and engineering teams.
• Implement lean initiatives in collaboration with suppliers.
• Maintain inventory levels as per planning requirements.

The Talent:

• Proficiency in Excel (Pivot Table, VLOOKUP) is a must.
• At least 2-3 years of experience in purchasing environment, preferably in Electrical & Mechanical buying.
• Able to converse fluently in Mandarin to support native Chinese-speaking vendors in China and Taiwan.
