Job Description

-The Opportunity:Adecco is collaborating with a major provider of equipment for making semiconductors and electronic devices. It designs and builds machines that help in packaging and assembling these components. Serving customers worldwide, it plays a key role in improving how semiconductors are made, with its technology being used in industries like automotive, consumer electronics, and data storage.The Buyer involves handling procurement tasks like analyzing material needs, issuing purchase orders, and keeping records. The position works with suppliers, engineering, logistics, and finance to ensure timely delivery of materials. The Buyer also resolves issues, monitors supplier performance, and supports production while meeting quality, cost, and delivery goals. Knowledge of ERP systems is essential.

• Work location: Serangoon
• Work hours: Mon-Fri, 8.30am - 5.30pm
• Salary: up to $5,400 + AWS + VB

The Job:

• Review planned orders and exception reports using Oracle Applications Planners Workbench to ensure smooth operations.
• Assess supply, raw material, and equipment needs to support production and internal stakeholders.
• Stay up-to-date on materials and suppliers, ensuring purchases meet quality and quantity requirements at the best possible prices.
• Generate and expedite purchase orders for raw materials, equipment, and other internal requests as needed.
• Facilitate technical communication between suppliers and engineering, resolving issues with defective or non-compliant goods through appropriate corrective actions.
• Oversee procurement records, tracking purchase details, delivery, quality, and inventory while working with logistics and finance to resolve invoice and payment issues.

The Talent:

• Diploma or Bachelor\'s degree in Engineering or Supply Chain Management with 2-3 years of relevant experience.

• At least 1 year of experience in direct materials purchasing, including supplier and commodity management.
• Proficiency in ERP systems, preferably Oracle Applications.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications preferred.
• Strong communication skills and ability to solve practical problems in dynamic, non-standardized environments.
