Purchase goods, materials, components or service in line with specified cost, quality, delivery target.
Ensure continuous supply of required goods and communicate any supply problems which may pose a risk or impact on business operation.
Research and evaluate areas of opportunity and reduce cost where possible.
Assess and evaluate supplier and undertake performance reviews to ensure contract compliance and manage performance improvement.
Negotiate contracts, improved prices and terms of business with suppliers and review opportunities to make business savings utilising negotiation and procurement best practice tools and methods.
Ensure On-Time Delivery and Quality products from supplier. Work with Quality team to improve the quality standards of the supplier.
Requirements:
Candidate must possess at least a Diploma in Mechanical/Mechatronics/Purchasing/Supply Chain Management, CSCP or equivalent.
At least 3 Year(s) of relevant working experience in manufacturing environment.
Well versed in ERP system (Navision, SAP etc.).
Good communication and negotiation skills.
Positive attitude, self-motivated and able to work independently.
Experience in purchasing technical commodity like machining items/sheet metal parts will be an added advantage.
